In this Affinity Publisher tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create bullet points for your text.

First, we need some text so I will use the Frame Text tool from the left toolbar and draw out a textbox.
Go ahead and type up some sample text to work with.

To create an unordered list (aka bullet points):

  1. On the top menu, choose the Text menu and select List, and Bullet
  2. Um, that’s it, now you have a list.

Each time you hit return on your keyboard it will add another bullet point until you turn it off.

When you are done with your list and want to turn it off. Go back to Text–>List–>Bullet and select it again to remove the checkmark from Bullet. This turns off the list feature.

Alternate method:

In Affinity there is usually more than one way to accomplish the same task. Here’s another way to access the bullet point feature.

Make sure you have the Frame Text tool selected. This will bring up the contextual toolbar across the top of your workspace.

Highlight the text you want to create into a list. Click on the Bulleted List Icon to turn bullet points on. Click again to turn them back off. Make sure the text you want affected is highlighted.

Watch the short video above for a demonstration of both of these methods.
